1) To kickstart, could you share about your current role, what the company does and a bit about your career background?

Hi Marcella, thank you for this opportunity. I’m Arfika Aisyah, I am an Assistant Product Category Manager at Eezee. Eezee is the largest B2B marketplace for industrial and business supplies. We are committed to providing a customer-centric eCommerce experience that is easy, transparent and secure to use. Our vision is to be the place where everyone can find anything they need to buy for work online.

I joined Eezee Singapore in 2019 and last October 2021, I moved to our branch office in Indonesia.

Before joining Eezee, I worked freelance at my previous university as a Research Assistant.

2) Can you describe what your typical workday looks like?

I start my working day by checking all emails, replying to them, and then checking my meeting schedule for that day or starting to prepare myself for a site visit. On a daily basis, I go to another city to meet our clients and ensure everything complies with our regulations.

At the end of the working day, I always take notes of every activity I did and review it for an hour and create a plan for the next day.

3) What does personal growth mean to you?

Personal growth for me is how we can be impactful for those around us, such as family, friends, colleagues, company and community. Make consistent and positive contributions and develop knowledge about it and become the best version of ourselves.

4) Is there a habit you consciously exercise to ensure you achieve your ideal personal growth?

Yes, I take an online course from Coursera to gain knowledge and expertise to support me on a daily basis.

Internally at Eezee, I am grateful to be able to have a catch-up with Logan (CEO), Shawn (COO) and Weidy (Director of Eezee Indonesia) to share our thoughts and I am also actively looking for their advice to grow.

5) What does it mean to grow in your career? How do you measure your career growth?

Growing in my career means giving my best to support and help my community in the organization, and helping the company grow. I always take notes from my work and regularly review it. Progressing on the work and delivering impactful results is how I measure my career growth.

6) Aside from your full-time job, is there anything else you like to do outside work?

I love photography because it made me realize that we live in a beautiful world with all the differences and conditions. I also like watching movies and joining some social activities.

Those are how I cope with my stress.

7) Are there any books, podcasts or apps that have been helpful for your growth?

I recommend taking online courses from Coursera and watch TEDx Talks on Youtube.

8) Any tips you’d like to share for those who are looking to venture into similar roles?

I want to say that everyone is able to become someone; it does not depend on any privilege they have but depends on our own goals. Everyone has a different path and different problems on their shoulders, but chances and opportunities are widely open to those who know and believe in themselves.

9) Finally, what is the one quote you always live by?

"Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life." —Tony Robbins

I believe that all of the things that we experience in life come from our minds.
